India’s largest cinema exhibition company - PVR Ltd., today, became country’s first entertainment company to revamp and retrofit central air purification systems powered by Nirvana Being to combat indoor air-pollution in the most effective manner. Pioneering the concept of transforming urban leisure spaces conscious of air quality standards; PVR is personalizing its cinema infrastructures to provide a refreshing and rejuvenating movie viewing experience to its patrons.

Driven by the environmental situation and consumer demand to live smart and breathe fresh, PVR today, inaugurated its first of many “Audit-Air-Ium” theater sat the Directors’ Cut, Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj. Retrofitted with customized world-class air cleaners, the “clean air theater “concept maintains Indoor Air Quality as per National Air Quality Index(AQI) standard as under 100 and propose a 15 minutes’ addition to one’s life during the 3 hours of luxury cinema viewing.

Focusing on metro cities with worst air quality in the world as per WHO; PVR ‘Audit-Air-Iums’ will be installed across Delhi – NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad encompassing mainstream screens, Gold class, and playhouse cinemas.

Bangalore April 11, 2018 – Nexteer Automotive expands its strategic software investment and global software team by announcing intention to open a Software Center in India.  The Software Center will be the latest addition to the Company’s global software team that operates under one digital roof with locations in Saginaw, US; Tychy, Poland; and Suzhou, China. Nexteer Automotive presently has centers Pune and Gurgaon. In addition to this, Nexteer is also planning to set up a plant in Chennai for manufacturing of Electronic Power steering which is expected to be functional by 2018 Q3.

Nexteer’s Global Technical Center in Saginaw – in tandem with regional Technical Centers in Tychy and Suzhou will continue focusing on upstream software development and R&D innovation.  Meanwhile, the new Software Center in India will focus on downstream software production and validation ensuring quality and compliance with regulations.  The company has invested over 2 Million USD for overall activities for the fiscal year 2019. Nexteer is planning to hire around 50 people to start with for India Software Centre and will go up to 100 - 200.

SOFTWARE’S ROLE IN NEXTEER’S SAFETY-CRITICAL STEERING SYSTEMS

Nexteer’s software plays a safety-critical role – including cyber security – in its products such as Steer-by-Wire (SbW) and Electric Power Steering Systems (EPS) that are key gateway technologies for advanced safety functions and automated driving.

As vehicles adopt more advanced electronics to enable automated driving, internet connectivity and V2X communication, Nexteer’s cyber-secure steering technologies become even more critical.”

As Nexteer continues adding functionality and advanced safety features to its steering systems – the number of lines of code required is astounding: 14.3 Million lines of code required in Nexteer’s SbW; and 4.3 Million lines of code required in Nexteer’s EPS – compared to 400,000 lines of code required in the first space shuttle.

The Valley Run set for April 13

India’s biggest drag racing event - The Valley Run will be held at the Aamby Valley City airstrip in Lonavala from 13 to 15 April 2018.

The event in its sixth year organized by Elite Octane Inc. will be held for both two-wheeler and four-wheeler respectively. Over entries are expected to line-up on the three-days of which the first two days are reserved for motorcycles. Last year the event was treated with 600 entries.

The year The Valley Run will have a Supercar owner’s lounge with an array of amazing vehicles lined up apart from many more exciting elements.

A drag race is a timed event, in which a car or a bike that accelerates the faster from standstill and covers the quarter-mile long straight in the shortest duration wins. Drag races are all about a superfast reaction time and perfect gear shifts from the rider/driver to gain optimum, the lesser the margin of error the better the time.

All competitors are required to hold a valid FMSCI Competition License.
